Page numbering questions
How do I add page numbers to a PDF?
Upload your PDF, pick a position on the page grid, choose a number format, then select Add page numbers. The numbers are drawn into the PDF and the file downloads.
Can I start numbering at a different number?
Yes. Set Start at to any whole number, including 0, which is useful when a cover page shouldn't be counted.
Can I number only some pages?
Yes. Choose Page range and enter something like 3-12 or 2,5,8-10. Only those pages receive numbers.
Will the numbers cover my existing content?
The margin control moves the numbers away from the page edge, and the live preview shows exactly where each number lands, so you can move it before exporting.
Does this change the rest of my document?
No. The numbers are added as real text on top of the existing page, so the original content, quality and searchable text are preserved.
